Please answer the questions below in order to apply for IRB approval through the Social Science Experimental Laboratory. If you have any trouble with the application process, please contact ssel@nyu.edu.
Please note you will need to re-submit the request should you include new collaborator(s).
SSEL's IRB Protocol does not allow for experiments with deception. Please rework your design before applying for IRB through SSEL. For advice, please email ssel@nyu.edu.
In order to use SSEL with NYUAD students you should have a show up fee of 30 AED and an expected average payment of 100 AED. Please consider reworking your plan such that you meet these requirements. For assistance, email ssel@nyu.edu.We cannot accept your proposal until the design has been reworked.

Ensuring anonymity of information collected from research participants means that either the project does not collect identifying information of individual subjects (e.g., name, phone number, Email address, IP address, etc.), or the project cannot link individual responses with participants' identities. A study should not collect identifying information of research participants unless it is essential to the study protocol. Maintaining confidentiality of information collected from research participants means that only the investigator(s) or individuals of the research team can identify the responses of individual subjects; however, the researchers must make every effort to prevent anyone outside of the project from connecting individual subjects with their responses. Who will have access to the information or data collected as part of this research? Please note that faculty supervisors of student research should always have access.
